Official Czech is hard even for Czechs. Paper Trail reads the letter and tells you, in plain language, what it says, what it asks for, and by when. Then it helps you do it.
Your application is paused. They want proof of accommodation less than 180 days old. Nothing else is wrong.
1. New proof of accommodation from your landlord
2. Send it by data box or in person
3. Quote your application number
Every page, front and back. Or import a PDF from your data box or your photos.
Who sent it, what it is about, and what it asks for, in plain English or one of five other languages.
The date goes into your calendar and the shared Dates list, with a reminder before it.
Tick off what to do, copy payment details, or send a reply in Czech that is filled in for you.
A request for more documents (výzva k doplnění) is one of the most common letters during a permit application, and one of the most worrying. Here is how it reads.
Správní orgán Vás vyzývá k doplnění žádosti o doklad o zajištění ubytování, a to ve lhůtě 15 dnů ode dne doručení této výzvy.
Your residence permit application is paused. They want proof of accommodation that is less than 180 days old. Nothing else is wrong with the application.
15 days from the day the letter was delivered. Paper Trail works out the date and adds it to your calendar: 4 October 2026.
"Přerušeno" (paused) sounds bad but is normal. The procedure restarts when they get the document. The small print says it can be stopped if you miss the deadline, so ask for more time in writing before it passes if you need it.
Fill in the highlighted gaps. The English underneath updates as you type. Then copy it, save it as a PDF, or send it the right way for that office.
Amount, account number, variable symbol and the pay-by date, in one card. Copy them into your bank app, then tap "I have paid".
"What happens if I miss the deadline?" "Can my landlord send it?" Answers come only from what the letter says, and it tells you when the letter does not say.
Tap "I have sent it" and the letter moves to Waiting. If no answer arrives in 14 days, you get a nudge to follow up.
Letters know which step of your move they belong to. Scan the invitation to give your fingerprints and the appointment date goes onto that step in Move, and into your Dates list, without typing anything.
Every letter is sorted into one of five kinds, and every office has a guide: who they are, what they usually send, and how to reach them.

Birth numbers and similar are masked in your saved letters. Tap to show one when you need it for a payment.
Delete the photo after 7 days, 30 days, or never. The summary and your notes are kept.
Every result says how confident it is, and points at the line to check on the paper when part of the scan is hard to read. The original text is always one tap away.
Paper Trail tells you what a letter says and asks for. For money you dispute, your residence, or anything from a court, check with someone qualified.
